I've been lurking here for a while and decided it was past time to join in. Everyone here is so generous with their knowledge of guitar making, I hope I can add at least a little. I studied furniture making with James Krenov in the early 80's, and have been making custom furniture in my shop in North Carolina since them. Two years ago I decided to build a guitar for myself, and got hooked. I"m now working on numbers 6 and 7 and can't seem to quit. So thanks for all the help I've gotten here- Paul Harrell |

Welcome Paul, You have studied with a great man, you already know that! I have read a fair bit on Krenov, including some of his books, he has a great attitude towards wood and woodworking and I would think that his students would seek his instruction because they were like minded. He was a great inspiration to me in my furniture making days. Building guitars certainly is addictive. Looking forward to your posts here. |
